Our monitoring services are customized on the specific needs of our clients and allow to timely detect third parties’ infringements of distinctive signs.
The services include:
- General Audit on domain names identical or similar to our clients' trademarks registered in all existing generic extensions (gTLDs) and country code extensions (ccTLDs), including new generic Top Level Domains, and Watching (on a monthly basis or at a different frequency desired by the client) aimed at highlighting domain names registered as of the date of the General Audit.
The results are classified by our analysts and professionals both according to risk (color-coded), and according to as many as 15 different categories of possible violations, and are presented in monthly reports shared on our proprietary platform IPDOC, through which the highlighted results can be examined and instructions can be provided. Clients can also examine the results emerged in previous reports, saved - complete with all the details highlighted by the search - on our platform both for future reference but also to allow our professionals the clustering activities of counterparties based on a plurality of domain names (including those of our other clients). This service also provides for the possibility of receiving anticipations (“Alerts”) via email - within a few days of registration - of some of the most relevant results;
- WAI (Watching Artificial Intelligence) Alert, based on the most advanced tools of Generative Pretrained Transformer and Large Language Models. This service allows to automatically identify and rank in order of relevance domain names identical or similar to the trademark of interest registered in all generic extensions, within few hours of their creation and activation on zone files. The results are promptly analyzed by our analysts and professionals, who promptly flag the most dangerous ones by email to our clients.
This service, which is also particularly useful to the departments of companies dealing with Cybersecurity, is in fact focused not only on the possible use of the domain name for active sites, but also on the composition and potential confusability with the trademarks and domain names of our clients, including in the search algorithms also a larger set of homograph characters - so-called homoglyphs (letters in other alphabets with characters that are essentially identical to the Latin one but for the purpose of domain name registration are considered different) often used in Phishing and Distributed Denial of Service (DDOS) Attacks - as well as also the presence of configured MX records that are an indication of possible use of domain names for fraudulent e-mail;
- Watching on the use of trademarks in website content as well as on social media and platforms where counterfeit products, unauthorized content or Non Fungible Tokens are offered for sale;
- Watching on the use of distinctive signs within smartphone and tablet applications;
- Clustering and intelligence, aimed at identifying links among the various sites, accounts and apps used by the same individual or by a “network” of related individuals or entities, and to intervene effectively and in a targeted manner in relation to those individuals who engage in a “pattern” of illicit conduct.
