Alessio graduated in Law from the University of Turin, with a final thesis on the protection of designations of origin in the wine sector. Already during his academic career, he obtained a part-time internship at a prestigious intellectual property firm based in Turin. After graduating, he furthered his education in intellectual property at a European and international level by completing a master's degree (LL.M Magister Lvcentinvs) in Alicante, Spain. During this course, he acquired knowledge of the procedures of the European Union Intellectual Property Office (EUIPO), the Spanish Patent and Trademark Office (OEPM) and the World Intellectual Property Organisation (WIPO).
Subsequently, Alessio did an internship at a recognised Spanish IP firm. Afterwards, he worked for several years at the Spanish office of a major American law firm where he managed trademark portfolios in various sectors globally. He then worked for more than two years at a leading IP consultancy firm based in Turin.
After successfully passing the exam, Alessio became a member of the Italian Institute of Chartered Trademark Attorneys, allowing him to represent clients before both the Italian Patent and Trademark Office (UIBM) and the European Union Intellectual Property Office (EUIPO). His areas of specialisation include the registrability and filing of Italian, European Union and foreign trademarks, as well as their protection against third parties. In addition, Alessio is an expert in the protection of intellectual property rights on the Internet and specialises in blockchain, an area in which he has been working since 2017, assisting clients on NFT, Fan Tokens, timestamping and Web3 domains.
Alessio is a native Italian speaker and is fluent in English, Spanish and French.
